Happy Friday and HAPPY ALMOST HALLOWEEN!!!!!
I can’t wait to dress up as Snow White and hand out candy (and business cards) to all the little trick-or-treaters tomorrow!!! I am hoping to spread some word about Once Upon A Party LLC. I LOVE seeing little ones all dressed up and happy!!!
I’m also making an awesome baked squash recipe tomorrow that is vegetarian and truly fall-inspired. I made the Bitly one that was floating around on the internet the last few weeks, but that one contained sweet sausage (still yummy!).
This year before carving Jack-O-Lanterns I Googled: What can I do with my pumpkin guts? Well, I found about one million things to do with them! Today’s post is dedicated entirely All-Pumpkin-Everything and also Halloweenie Pinterest finds. Click the links to find the recipes. If you happen to be carving up your pumpkins tonight, don’t throw away all the gunk inside….EAT IT!!!!
Things to do with Pumpkin Innards
1.) Turn your pumpkin guts into a face scrub. Here I used simple ingredients that you can find in your own kitchen (or in my line of Siren’s Song Bath Scrubs). Mix in some sugar, vegetable glycerin, essential oils, pumpkin guts, and a little ground coffee for an awesome face/body exfoliating scrub. Pumpkin helps cool and calm skin as well as give you a healthy “glow” from the betacarotene. Make some pumpkin puree and this is good to go!
2.) Muffins, anyone? These delicious Honey Pumpkin Cornmeal Muffins are sugar free (minus the honey) and perfect for dunking into your morning coffee or devouring after a meal.
3.) The Sweetest Thing: Yogurt Pumpkin Bundt Cake. Words can’t even explain this….sweet, moist, soft, melt in your mouth….drizzle caramel over it….OMG.
4.) Smoothie Time: Add a spoonful of pumpkin puree into a smoothie with banana, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, and clove and you’ve got a pumpkin pie smoothie in the AM.
Halloweenie Pinterest Finds
1.) Spider Eggs — A little nightmarish spin on Deviled Eggs.
2.) Pumpkin Puke — Mix up your favorite guac and carve a little orange for eating as well!
3.) Zombie Dentures — If you don’t mind a little red food coloring every once in a while, these are super cute!
4.) Eye Ball Hor’derves — Mozzarella balls with an olive for a creepy twist.
And there you have it….everything you need to have a SPOOOOOKTACULAR time this Halloween!!!!!
Wishing you a safe and wonderful and positively SPOOOOKY Halloween, y’all!
