Use More Cucumber: Your Face Will Thank You.

In my opinion, cucumber can easily be one of the very best things you can ingest for your health and beauty.  Smoothies and juice containing cucumber as their base can help combat inflammation, pump you full of antioxidants, aid in digestion, clear your skin, and can do about a million other things for you, inside and out.

Below are some recipes containing cucumbers to soothe and rejuvenate your body and overall skin health.

Cucumber Spritz:

What You Will Need:

  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of witch hazel
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel

What You Will Need To Do:

  1.  In a blender, blend the cucumber as fine as possible.
  2. Strain the cucumber mix.
  3.  Mix the cucumber juice with the rest of the ingredients and stir.
  4.  Put the ingredients into a spray bottle.  Spritz on your body or face whenever you want to combat oil and inflammation.  Cucumber is great to reduce puffiness and eye circles.  Refrigerate between uses.

Soothing Cucumber Mask:  

What You Will Need:

  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • a little water

What You Will Need To Do:

  1. Throw the cucumbers into the food processor.
  2. Add the oil and stir.
  3. Add little bits of water at a time.  You won’t need to add much because the cucumbers already contain a large amount of liquid.  You don’t want it too liquidy!
  4. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and wash off.

Your skin will appear smooth, soft, and glowing.

Cucumber Cellulite Scrub:

What You Will Need:

  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of ground coffee
  • enough honey to bring the mix to a nice sticky consistency

What You Will Need To Do:

  1. Throw the cucumber into the food processor.
  2. Stir in the other ingredients.
  3. Smooth the mix into the areas of concern.  Scrub it onto those areas and wash it off in the shower.
